Official Statement Regarding Recent Legal Matters and the Mission of HOGCKD

The HOGCKD has been under attack by a small but vocal group of individuals who are disappointed by the national church’s decision to consolidate two Florida churches that national and local leaders were unable to turn around.
These individuals instigated meritless but expensive lawsuits against the church, threats of violence against our Chief Overseer and his family, and a letter from the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, all based on falsehoods and misinformation. Indeed, the claims about self-dealing by church leadership are false, as we have stated for months.
Nevertheless, we expect all legal matters to conclude in HOGCKD’s favor based on our Decree which has stood the test of time for more than 100 years, just like similar efforts to cede church property have concluded in years past.
We remain steadfast in faith, trusting that truth will prevail and this chapter will be resolved in the next few months so we can all move on and focus on Kingdom building, fellowship, and restoration.
We pray, with the leading of the Holy Spirit, that we can get through these issues peaceably with the true agape love of Christ.
Bishop O.C. Pringle,
Co-Assistant State Bishop and Assistant to the National Spokesperson
