Health and Safety Advisory for Post-Assembly
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are grateful for the wonderful turnout at the 2024 General Assembly in Nashville, TN. Your presence and participation have been a blessing. As we all return to our homes and communities, it is important to remain vigilant about our health and well-being.
To ensure that everyone remains healthy, we encourage the following precautions:
1. Wear Masks: Whenever possible, especially in crowded or enclosed spaces, please wear masks to protect yourself and others.
2. Hand Hygiene: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
3. Healthy Eating and Hydration: Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and other nutrient-dense foods to support your immune system. Stay hydrated with water and juices containing vitamin C. Stay away from products containing lots of sugar or additives.
4. Take Vitamins: Consider taking vitamins and supplements after consulting with your physician to ensure you are getting the necessary nutrients.
5. Rest: Ensure you get plenty of rest. Our immune systems are weaker when we are tired and exposed, making it essential to prioritize sleep and relaxation.
6. Consult with your family health care physician for recommended seasonal vaccinations.
Our ability to fight sickness and disease is stronger when we take proactive steps to care for our bodies. Let us continue to support one another in maintaining good health as we carry forward the spirit and mission of our church.
May God bless you and keep you safe.
In His Service,
Risk Assessment and Management, General Assembly First Responders,
Bishop CK Butler, Sr., Chief Overseer
